Photo Gallery: Images of the NRECA Team in Haiti
Myk Manon, head of the NRECA International emergency response team in Haiti, sent back several photographs showing the devastation in Haiti and the work his team is doing to help.

Two power transformers at a substation in Port-Au-Prince
were shaken off their platforms by the violent earthquake
that struck Haiti on January 12. |

While working on restoring power to a hospital in
Port-Au-Prince, Manon and his team fashioned a hotstick
from PVC pipe and a screwdriver. It was a bit precarious,
Manon said, but it worked. Here, Manon used the
makeshift tool to connect a generator to the hospital's
internal grid.
