New Communicator Orientation

Welcome to the New Year. I can't believe 2007 is already here, but I guess we always say that with the passing of each busy year.

Now that we've reached this point, the New Communicator Orientation is just around the bend. Matt Rhoades and all our committee members have worked diligently to make sure the agenda was wrapped up before 2006 ended.

Last year's agenda was great and even as an old(er) communicator I learned a lot. The agenda for this year has been tweaked, with new items added, and promises to be bigger and better.

The dates for the New Communicator Orientation are April 4-6 at NRECA. The hotel is The Holiday Inn Arlington, just a few blocks from NRECA. We'll have a welcome/get-acquainted session at 5:30 p.m. in the hotel on April 3, and the program begins at 8 a.m. on April 4. We'll finish up before noon on April 6 so everyone can get home for the weekend.

As of the end of December, we had nine new communicators registered. We can accommodate 25, so spread the word to any new communicators you know. The benefits from the New Communicator Orientation will help them in their jobs for years to come.
