Indiana Honors Co-op Employees for Commitment to Community

A recent event at the Indiana Statewide Association recognized seven special co-op employees. The employees were presented with Touchstone Energy Power & Hope Awards for their outstanding service to their communities.

Ron Laux, Jay County REMC
Bobby Waddle, Bartholomew County REMC
Beverly Engle, Clark County REMC
Karen Covey, Hendricks Power Cooperative
Jon Rich, Jasper County REMC
Joe Peden, South Central Indiana REMC
Bob Bradford, Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC

The Power & Hope Employee Recognition Program started in 2005 to honor co-op employees who go out of their way to help those in need. The award is intended to be administered locally, and co-op management decides when and how an employee has provided power and hope within the co-op network. Designs for the awards can be downloaded from TouchstoneEnergy.coop and applied to certificates, plaques and other collateral.

Brand Launches National Power & Hope Website to Highlight Local Recipients

The Indiana honorees are now featured on PowerandHope.com, a new Web site launched by the brand as a way to recognize past and future recipients of the Power & Hope Award. Visit the site to read more about their achievements! More honorees will be added in the coming weeks (see article below).
